POST-SURGICAL PAIN
Post-Surgical knee pain is a normal part of the recovery process and normally results in post-op swelling and bruising in the area. This type of pain is most common after knee replacement surgeries.
MENISCAL TEAR
Meniscal tears are the most common knee injury that can happen from any physical activity that causes a forceful rotation, or twist of the knee.
Each knee has two menisci which are C-shaped cartilage discs located on the inner and outer edge of the knee. They act as a cushion between the thigh bone and the shinbone.
IT BAND SYNDROME
IT Band syndrome also known as Runner’s knee is one of the most common injuries among runners. The Iliotibial Band Syndrome happens due to overuse of the band which is located along the thighs in the outside part of the leg, covering the area from the pelvis down to the tibia. The IT band extends from the hip joint over the knee joint and is an important lateral stability structure of the knee, allowing flexion and extension.
CHRONIC KNEE PAIN
Chronic knee pain is a common problem that includes all types of knee pain affecting the knee and surrounding area. The knee joint is complex and one of the most used joints in the body. Many different factors can lead to damage and chronic pain symptoms, which can detrimentally affect the quality of one’s life.
